In April we introduced you to two different companies working on virtual Mount Everest experiences. If you are ready to climb up to the top of the world, you can now do so and join the expedition – virtually! “Everest VR” by Sólfar Studios and RVX  has been released today and is now available on Steam.

The VR experience focuses on the advantages of VR to transport the viewer to an impossible real world location. “Experience Everest in 5 iconic scenes. Prepare for your expedition at Basecamp, traverse the terrifying Khumbu Icefalls, overnight at Camp 4, ascend the perilous Hillary Step, and finally conquer the summit of Everest.”
